Latin History for Everyone. EVERYONE!


I had heard that John Leguizamo was touring with a new show and I obviously got very interested. The show: “Latin History For Morons”

Cutting it down to it’s core component, this show should be required viewing for all teenagers (can’t say kids, this show is definitely not G)

I’ve always had a tremendous amount of respect for this comedian who baring a few missteps in the movie business has always been an underrated comedian.

I got hooked 20 years ago by his one man show Freak.  Directed by Spike Lee this show is in my opinion on par with Whoopi Goldberg’s masterpiece Whoopi Goldberg: Direct from Broadway. Clearly a different tone but just as incredible a performance, in your face and thought provoking. Both will make you laugh and think.

Man on Fire, a divisive title

It had been at least 3-4 years since I last watched the movie Man on Fire. I did remember it as something quite good.

After another viewing I still stand by this incredible movie that seems to have been fairly divisive at least between critics and the general public as illustrated by the 50 point gap listed at Rotten Tomatoes.

Is it the perfect movie? no but it has many of the hallmarks that make great movies.
